Morro Bay Chamber to resume in person events, with Morro Bay is “Back and Better than Ever"

MORRO BAY IS “BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER”

MORRO BAY, CA - After what’s been a truly trying year, the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce is excited to kick off the full reopening of our economy with a two-part series called “Shop, Sip and Stroll”. These community events will start Wednesday, June 16th at 5:30pm on the Embarcadero, with the second event on Wednesday, June 30th in Downtown Morro Bay.

The Morro Bay Chamber’s new Membership Director, Lynsey Hansen, has organized an event designed to bring residents of Estero Bay and SLO County together to reconnect with one another and with business owners who have worked so hard to keep their doors open throughout the pandemic. Says Hansen, “Our community did such a great job supporting local businesses over the last 15 months. We want to make sure that ‘Shop Local’ support is here to stay.”

Community members are encouraged to visit the Chamber’s Facebook event page for the latest information about the Shop, Sip and Stroll event and future events: www.facebook.com/morro.chamber/events. Details are provided about participating businesses, local beer, wine and spirits beverage sponsors, and a map of the walkable event is available. Live musicians will be performing throughout the route and some vacant commercial storefronts will be open to invite aspiring entrepreneurs to explore the business opportunities Morro Bay has to offer. This is a free community event and we’ll have some fun complimentary stickers proclaiming that “Morro Bay is back in 2021, and better than ever!” Complete information can be found on our website: www.morrochamber.org.

The Chamber also has events in the works this July for the North Morro Bay and Quintana business districts. The “Property Walk and Talks” series, launched via Facebook Live during the pandemic, will continue to highlight the many unique small businesses within the Morro Bay community. The series will place focus through the early summer on the Quintana area during construction of the new water pipeline; businesses are open and ready to deliver the same exceptional service they always have. Property Walks are hosted live by Chamber CEO, Erica Crawford, and can be viewed, along with previous walks, on our Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/morro.chamber/videos.
