The City of Morro Bay is accepting applications for appointment to the City Council to fill the vacancy created by the passing of Council Member Robert Davis. The term of this Council seat is from the date of appointment to the certification of results of a Special Election to be held in 2022. Candidates must be 18 years of age, reside within the corporate limits of the City of Morro Bay, and be registered to vote in the City of Morro Bay at the time the application is submitted.

The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021.
Interviews are tentatively scheduled for September 14, 2021.
