On September 19, 2023 Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to review a request for Zoning Code/ Coastal Implementation Plan (IP) Amendments and a Plan Morro Bay General Plan / Local Coastal Program (LCP) Land Use Map and Zoning Map Amendment for APN Parcels 065-022-009 and 065-022-011) (Dog Beach). The proposed amendments to the Zoning Code/ IP below are the result of California Coastal Commission (CCC) requested edits to the City's pending IP certification application as well as recommended City clean-up amendments for review. Additionally, a Land Use Map and corresponding Zoning Map amendment to correct the land use and zoning designation for Dog Beach from Agriculture (AG) to Open Space (OS) is included.
