[ARCHIVED] New Way to Watch City Meetings Live and Replay Past Meetings

How to view live City meetings

The City recently completed a Council Chamber audio/video (A/V) system update and building refresh at the Morro Bay Veteran’s Hall and wants to express its appreciation for the community’s patience as we continue to fine tune the new system and train our technicians and City staff.

As part of the A/V upgrade, going forward all meetings will be livestreamed in our agenda management system, eScribe.  We acknowledge recent service interruptions occurred on Channel 20 and SLO-Span, but after several test meetings, the eScribe livestream provided consistent audio and video throughout, with the added benefit of closed captioning for community members who are hearing impaired.  Additionally, in most cases we will publish a bookmarked version of the video the next day!

  • The new livestream link will replace SLO-Span on future meeting agendas and live meetings can be found here:  Webcast

How to view past Meeting Recordings and Minutes

To view an indexed (bookmarked) recording of City Council and Advisory Committees, Commissions and Boards, go to the Agendas and Minutes page and select the meeting you wish to view from the “Past Meetings” dropdown.

As an example, the September 9th City Council Meeting video was published and  can be viewed by clicking either the HTML Agenda link or the video link.    This system allows staff to publish bookmarked and closed-captioned videos more quickly, making the agenda, minutes and meeting video available in one place on our website.  While YouTube will remain an archive for past meetings , going forward, all meeting videos will be archived in eScribe.
