Join us for the 53rd annual Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run and the 9th annual Rock'n Around the Pier Half Marathon Saturday, July 22nd with a 9am start time. Registration is Open!
Rock to Pier Fun Run
The Rock to Pier Fun Run is a 6-mile point to point race held completely on the beach (hard packed sand) from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier. This event is open to participants of all ages and abilities. Every July participants of all ages and abilities compete in this run with a field of well over 1,000 runners from all over the world.
Rock'n Around the Pier Half Marathon
The Rock'n Around the Pier Half Marathon begins at Morro Rock, continues to the Cayucos Pier, turns around and head back towards the Morro Rock. At 10.5 miles the course will veer off the beach (up through soft sand) and will follow a 1 mile loop through Cloister's park then return to the beach (through soft sand) and finishes at the Rock. Please note that the course will be closed at 1pm for runners.

You can also sign up for the virtual component of the race if you would like to run from home.
Day of Parking
Parking is limited in Cayucos and all participants for the Rock to Pier Fun Run are encouraged to return to Morro Bay by event buses. There is plenty of parking at Morro Rock and nearby. Traffic down to the rock can get backed up we suggest an early arrival.
Packet Pick Up
Morro Bay Recreation Services will be hosting packet pick-up on July 21st, the day prior to the race, from 3pm - 7:30pm at the Morro Bay Community Center 1001 Kennedy Way, Morro Bay Ca, 93442. We highly recommend that you plan on packet pickup at this time.
Day of packet pick up will be available at the Morro Rock parking lot starting at 8am. Included in packet pick up will be race bib and commemorative T-Shirt.
Day of Registration
Day of registration will be available at the Morro Rock parking lot starting at 8am.
Event Breakfast
Post Race Breakfast is included in race registration, additional breakfasts can be purchased the day of the event. Breakfast includes - Sausage patties (or vegetarian sausage patties,) pancakes, juice, coffee, and fruit.
Live Music
Post Race Entertainment - Band TBA! The run will feature a band performing live during the post-race breakfast. Stay tuned to find out who it will be!
Medals
Will be awarded at the finish line to all runners!
Awards
Awards will be presented at Morro Rock at the conclusion of the Race. Awards will be presented to Men's and Women's 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each age group.

1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Race Details
Water and Aide stations will be available throughout the course. Dogs are not allowed on the course due to the Snowy Plover nesting season. This event is held on the beach, you will get wet. Transportation is provided from Cayucos Pier back to Morro Rock and the end of race festivities.
